Matt and Brittany were married on August 22 at Marmion Park in the Houston Heights, and had their reception at the historic Houston Heights Fire Station. The ceremony was short and sweet to keep everyone from being overcome with the heat, and the old Fire Station (which is now being used for events) was a great place for a wedding celebration.

Lanette and I spent a broiling August afternoon with Chris and Elbony at Hermann Park to take their engagement photos. Despite the heat, we were able to get some great shots of this very nice and reserved couple. I was so glad Lanette stocked up on water bottles for this e-session!

With working, trying (and failing) to keep up with social networking, updating Flickr, Zenfolio, You Tube, etc. I've been neglecting to keep my blog updated. With that, I've decided to simply post some highlights of weddings Lanette and I have done in the past couple of years. This was an all day event on April 10th. Lanette and I arrived at the bluebonnet field at 7:30 in the morning, and as I was unloading our equipment, I noticed some sprinkling on the windshield of the truck. Well, that was the beginning of about 2 and a half hours of rain. We nearly packed it in and headed home, but thankfully it stopped and it turned out to be a wonderful day. Except for the mud.

Here are some of the highlights of Jake and Nicole's wedding on March 13, 2010. It was a long but enjoyable day that went from early morning hair-do until the couple hopped into their limo and rode off into the moonlight.

Hello everyone!My lovely wife and I hopped on the motorcycle today and took a ride out to Chappell Hill to locate another spot for bluebonnet photos. As luck would have it, we found a nice field open to the public just down the road from Chappell Hill Sausage. Oh no! I was just informed the field where all of the bluebonnets should be growing this year is being developed into a church, and there is cement and pipes laying all over the field. I was not aware of this plan until today, and it is a shame to see it go. I will be scouting a new location nearby this weekend and will post a new map with directions.
